SA Aquatics Industry Workforce Development Survey Report

The SA Aquatics Industry Workforce Development Survey Report provides a unique snapshot into the workforce practices, employee characteristics and business drivers of public swimming pools in the South Australian Aquatics Industry.

Produced by Service Skills SA, this report is an outcome of the SA Aquatics Attraction Project, an Industry Partnership Project funded through the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) South Australia Works Program, which is an initiative of the Government of South Australia.

The reports key objective is to provide crucial information to South Australian pools to assist them develop and adopt better long term workforce development & business planning practices, in particular more effective strategies to manage staffing issues during peak season.

The responses collated for the report have been gathered from 27 South Australian pools and other key industry orgnanisations such as associations, Registered Training Organisations and government depeartments who work with the aquatics industry.

Service Skills SA is pleased to report that the results of this survey have already impacted the aquatics industry positively, assisting to secure the funding for the extension of the SA Aquatics Attraction Project.
