The Retail and Hospitality Indigenous Program Adelaide (RHIPA) is a new Indigenous employment program being run and managed by Service Skills SA providing participants with pre-employment support, skills training and mentoring with employment into the retail or hospitality industries.
An innovative, collaborative and comprehensive employment project integrating recruitment, training, case management and mentoring services that responds to the Australian Governments "Closing the Gap" policy relating specifically to Indigenous employment.
The Adelaide Events Crew: Skills Intensive 2015 is funded by the Department of State Development under the Strategic Employment Fund and facilitated by Service Skills SA (SSSA) working in conjuction with the Adelaide College of the Arts, Festivals Adelaide and the Food Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council.
Working with the Arts Industry Council of South Australia, this project involves an indepth skills need and workforce development survey which has generated over 800 responses. The survey data is being used to create a holistic and collaborative solution to the current and future skills needs of the Creative Industries in SA.
