Retail Executive Career Resource
The Retail Executive Career Resource known as the 'SA Retail Careers Atlas 2010' is an Australian first and aims to provide youth, parents, current retail employees and employers with quality industry specific career and training information so that the right people get the right skills to work in the right job.
This savvy and relevant publication aims to:
- Promote the concept of ‘retail professionals' - demanding a new level of professional respect
- Promote all retail career occupations & pathway opportunities (covering all sectors)
- Provide current, realistic & relevant industry information
- Identify the benefits of a retail career (Why?)
- Provide step-by-step career pathway processes (How to get there)
- Attract new recruits at school level and mature age
- Assist in retaining existing workers in the industry by providing career direction
- Encourage Executive Career Pathways including ‘The Retail Executive Accelerated Career Pathway'
- Promote national training standards & encourage further professional development
- Reflect the expansive & exciting diversity of the retail industry
This publication along with 6 of the 18 sector leaflets currently produced has been distributed state-wide to all government and public high schools, registered training organisations and industry stakeholders.
