Regional Intensive
Skills for Creative Events in Regional SA
This training intensive will be held in Victor Harbor, Monday 28 November - Friday 16 December 2011.

This project is facilitated by Service Skills SA, and aims to create a greater event ready workforce for South Australia and increase employment prospects for participants who are based in regional areas.
The intensive is designed for individuals with limited or no experience within the events sector who are enthusiastically seeking to forge / strengthen a career in this area.
The intensive will run for 3 weeks from 28 November - 16 December 2011 in Victor Harbor, and is open to applications from individuals based anywhere in Regional SA. Please note funds for travel and accommodation is very limited, the training is FREE for 16 participants. Participants will gain the opportunity to acquire forklift and boom-type elevating work platform, scissor-lift, OHS Whitecard, Senior First Aid, and Traffic Management tickets. Community Arts Network SA will deliver the following accredited modules as one day workshops from the Smart in Business course: Network within Communities, Plan and Program Events, and Productive Relationships. A staging module from the Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre and Events will also be delivered. And there will be a day full of various industry knowledge seminars so you receive a good overview of the events sector, networks you can tap into and the opportunities it can offer.
