Training Package Coverage
There are two training packages covered by the Retail and Wholesale industry which include:
Floristry Training Package (SFL)
Retail Services Training Package (SIR)
The Retail Services Training Package also includes Community Pharmacy qualifications and a Wholesale qualification called Certifcate III in Business to Business Sales.
Skills IQ is the new Skills Service Organisation (SSO) responsible to ensure the training packages remain industry relevant. Skills Service Organisations (SSOs) support Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) to develop the training packages that industry needs and ensure they meet the needs of employers and stay current.
Our role at Service Skills SA is to work closely with our networks and the relevant Skills Service Organisation (SSO) to ensure that the South Australian Retail and Wholesale industries have an opportunity to contribute and stay informed about crucial activity.
Approved training packages can be viewed at www.training.gov.au which is the national database on Vocational Education and Training in Australia. Here you will find information on training packages, qualifications, courses, units of competency and registered training organisations (RTOs).
